We seek an experienced station hand or similar to take up the Station Allrounder position at Killarney Station. The property is 280km southwest of Katherine and lies 25km off the Buntine Highway in the iconic Victoria River District, covering an area of 541,400ha running up to 40,000 head of Brahman cattle.
The Station Allrounder will be part of the stock crew and reports to the Head Stockperson and Station Manager. You will work to support the completion of the 2022 cattle program that includes:
- Mechanical upkeep, repair and maintenance around the property ranging in jobs from vehicle work to welding to bore work.
- Trucking cattle (HR license)
- Distribution of Lick around the property
- Ad-hoc work as required in line with the livestock programme.
The position is suited to a self-starter who thrives on challenges and has the initiative to find solutions. You will need to be able to work autonomously from time-to-time and preferable have a strong mechanical aptitude. Experience in welding and fabrication along with a HR license will be an advantage.
