Mobella Station is located in the North West Pastoral region of South Australia, 190 kilometres west from the Stuart Highway midway between Glendambo and Coober Pedy. The station has a permanent staff of 6 and runs 20,000 Merino sheep across 70 paddocks.
We seek a permanent, full-time Station Hand to join the team.
Experience riding 2-wheel motorbikes will be necessary along with being comfortable living and working in Australia’s outback. Experience with sheep or livestock is not essential as we are happy to invest the time to develop the right person in these areas.
Some of what you will be involved in:
- Mustering of sheep on 2-wheel motorbikes
- Water runs – checking various dams, bores and watering points
- Yard work and fencing
- Various mechanical work including engine and small motor maintenance and servicing

Accommodation suitable for a single person is available at the station including aircon, wifi and meals. Access to the property is via a well-maintained unsealed road suitable for most car types from the Stuart Highway. Alternatively, there is a daily Greyhound Bus services along the Stuart Highway where a stop at the turnoff is available and collection easily arranged.
An appreciation for Outback living and working in remote and isolated regions is essential.
