We seek an experienced Manager for “Bulgunnia”, located 175km south west of Coober Pedy in SA and is one of four Jumbuck properties in the region. Bulgunnia covers 309,000ha, running up to 30,000 Merino sheep and with an average rainfall of 160mm. It has a well-resourced and maintained network of waters and infrastructure that support the property. With the homestead only 30kms from the Stuart Highway, access to the property is further supported by a daily Greyhound bus service to and from Adelaide with a stop at the nearby turn-off.
The manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of the livestock program at Bulgunnia.
You will also provide mentoring and training to staff and hold responsibility for the timely service and maintenance of station plant and equipment, waters and fences. A fully outfitted and organised workshop is based at the homestead complex along with a nearby approved RFDS airstrip.
The job receives direct administrative support from head office in areas such as HR and recruitment, purchasing and transport. You will also have a direct line of access to the Jumbuck Directors.
As a successful Manager you will be hands-on, motivated and with experience managing pastoral properties. Your strong leadership and people management skills will be crucial to your success along with your pastoral knowledge, mechanical aptitude and organisational skills.
